   童金苟1961年出生于湖北武汉,博士研究生导师;曾访问澳大利亚海洋研究所、皇家墨尔本理工大学,在香港中文大学进行1年博士后研究。1985年以来在中国科学院水生生物研究所工作至今,从事鲤科鱼类遗传学和育种研究,主要研究内容是从分子群体遗传学和基因组学、细胞遗传学、功能基因组等层面,解析鳙(胖头鱼)等鱼类生长和体型等主要经济性状的遗传基础,开展快速驯化、遗传选育和分子设计育种,为培育符合市场需求的鱼类养殖新品种(系)并推广养殖奠定基础。先后主持承担国家“973”子课题、课题,国家重点研发计划课题,国家自然科学基金,公益性(农业)科研专项子课题,中科院战略性先导科技专项子课题,中科院STS区域重点等国家和省部级科研项目,以及一批其它课题;发表国内外核心刊物论文100余篇(SCI收录约70篇);获授权专利3项。
