男，1964年8月生。理学博士，博士生导师。

主要研究方向为鱼类寄生虫学与寄生虫病。1986年毕业于南京大学生物系，获学士学位；1989年和1995年分别在中国科学院水生生物研究所获理学硕士和理学博士学位；1995～1997年，在日本东京大学农学部做特别研究员（博士后）；2000年9月在捷克科学院寄生虫学研究所进行合作研究；2002年10月赴埃及苏伊士运河大学访问研究；2003年6～9月，在美国夏威夷大学太平洋生物医学研究中心做访问研究。2003年被聘为研究员，2004年被聘为博士导师。现为中国科学技术协会“病虫害灾情预测与防治”专家组成员，全国水生动物防疫标准化技术工作组成员，全国水产技术推广总站技术咨询专家组成员，中国水产学会鱼病学专业委员会常务委员、秘书长。在鱼类寄生虫的分类学和种群生态学、鱼类免疫学、鱼病防治和鱼类健康养殖等研究领域共发表研究论文近50篇，其中13篇被SCI收录；参编著作2部；获得中国科学院自然科学二等奖和武汉市科技进步二等奖各1项。

Dr. Gui Tang Wang was born in August, 1964. His main research interests arefishparasitology and fish diseases caused by parasites. In 2003 he was promoted as a professor in the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). From 1995 to 1997, funded by CAS, he did research on fish immunology in the University of Tokyo, Japan. In 2003, he studied cultivation of fish cells in the Pacific Biomedical Research Center, University of Hawaii, USA. Till now he has published near fifty publications involved taxonomy and population ecology of fish parasites, fish immunology and fish diseases caused by parasites. Dr. Wang is the council member and secretary-general of the Chinese Society of Fish Diseases.
